Massey Child Care Centre

Massey Child Care Centre is a community-based, full day care centre catering for children from birth to school age.

Innovation

The multi-licence centre has innovative model of educational leadership where the whole centre operates a community-of-practice approach, using what it calls self-sustaining teams. All staff are encouraged to take a leadership role in their work. In addition, the infant groups adhere to the philosophy and practice of attachment-based learning in which teacher-parent-child relationships and interactions are central.

How does their attachment-based learning programme and educational leadership, within a community of practice, impact on learning and on infants' and toddlers' dispositions to enquire?
