Wadestown Kindergarten is a kindergarten administered by the Wellington Region Free Kindergartens Association.
Innovation
The kindergarten teachers and children - also engaging family and community - explore multiple literacies within the use of a project approach. Information communication technologies are used with and to represent different modes of communication – language, art, images, dance, drama, movement and music.

- What does multi-modal communicative competence mean in an early childhood setting?
- How do multi-modal literacies interact and support each other at individual, interpersonal and community levels?
- What is the role of people, places and practices in mediating children’s use of multi-modal literacies?
