Te Kōhanga Reo o Pūau Te Moananui a Kiwa
Te Kōhanga Reo o Pūau Te Moananui a Kiwa is one of 521 kōhanga reo whānau throughout Aotearoa. It is guided by Te Korowai, the Kōhanga Reo National Trust charter. It is licensed for 100 mokopuna. Mokopuna are immersed in kaupapa Māori methodology (te reo me ona tikanga Māori) five days per week.
Innovation
Deliberate use of the multiple approaches, rationale, applications and philosophy of mātauranga Māori learned from elders. The aim was (and is) to strengthen te reo me ona tikanga Māori.
